Quiet Day

It is just Bekah and I today. All the other kids are out at Divide skiing with Timmer and the other home-schoolers. Judah is going up on the chair lift today; he was SO excited this morning!!! Our house is so quiet. Bekah doesn't know what to do with herself so she is staying close to momma --- I'm getting LOTS of fish-face kisses today as she is still learning to pucker. :)

She is saying so many more words now. When I was getting her dressed this morning we were deciding what pants she should wear and she informed me that her pink flowered pants were "Whoo-oooo pretty". She is at such a fun age -- discovering how to let us know exactly what she wants --- Although I don't think she really had trouble with that as much as she has just changed tactics --now she uses words!!!

Tim and the older boys leave in the morning. I was assigned the job of picking up snowshoes this afternoon and buying some more dried food. I have to admit the adventure does not sound nearly as fun to me as it does to the boys. Who wants to hike out to the wilderness on snowshoes, carrying a 30 pound pack, to have the privelege of digging a cave to sleep in out of snow and eating dried/dehydrated food for three days. I'm sure they will be VERY hungry when they get back. How full can you really get on Mac&Cheese, Cup-O-Soup, and jerky????

Gabrielle is hoping to have some friends stay the night and have some "girl-time" with me. Zachy is wishing he were just a little older so I will have to find something fun that he can do also. He hasn't come up with an idea yet except to go with Tim and the boys :(

Well...... gotta scoot. I want to enjoy the day with the princess and have tax prep to do if I can get her to take a nap this afternoon before we head to town.
