Timmer had his post-op appt. today. The doctor was pleased with how he is doing but is concerned about his range of motion. He told Timmer how to work it to get more range at home and also prescribed some PT for him. We see him back in four weeks and Tim is starting a series of injections to stay-off the little bit of arthritis that was seen in the scope. They are going to do both knees. It is a product to lubricate the knee joint -- it is a natural product which concerned me a little since some of the immunizations/injections are made from aborted fetal cells and we don't want to participate in that. However this one is made from chicken combs --- weird stuff. Tim was laughing and told the doctor now he can truly say he has "chicken-legs".
Things otherwise are going well. It has been nice to have Timmer home for the week although he has gotten pretty bored at a few points (and that makes him cranky) The kids have LOVED him home and Rebekah thinks he is her personal Mt. Everest. He is anxious to get back to business with the house.
The kidlets went skiing for the first time this season and had a blast. They go again next Friday and Judah goes for the first time ever.
Elijah and Josiah are headed out tomorrow afternoon to the lake near us -- they are going to camp with their Boy Scout Troop, learn ice rescue skills, do some ice fishing and some other fun activities. Gabrielle is excited about having some girlfriends over for a slumber party since two of her brothers will be gone for the weekend. Zachy is less enthusiastic about the girl invasion but I'm sure we will find something to keep him interested and safe from girl cooties.
Thank you for your continued prayers for Timmer as he heals. Much love - dria
