Koliah and Bekah-boo are feeling much better today. Last night my friend Natalie gave us some Tei-Fu oil to put in the vaporizers. It is an essential oil and is basically a wintergreen variety. It worked MARVELOUSLY to help the kidlets breathe. We also used saline nose drops, Eldertussin, all the regular stuff. I love homeopathic medicine! Using the herbs and things that God created just seems so much better than the steroidals and other heavy medicines that the doctors lean towards. There is a place for those, please don't misunderstand me, but I would rather stay with the natural as much as possible. Josiah and Judah are worse today but that was expected in a fashion. Unless the Lord miraculous healed them I knew that today would be worse. So far Zachy, Gabrielle, Elijah, Tim and I have missed the bullet. We are praying that God will protect us - it is a nasty bug.
Tomorrow morning we saw the orthopedic doctor for a check-up. They said to plan on a new cast but they will evaluate Zachy tomorrow for atrophy of the muscles to see if they can hold off a new cast for another week or two.
Headed out to small group study at church. Tim is staying home with the little ones. I am supposed to lead today and the older two have True U tonight.
Am overwhelmed with how blessed we are today -- I saw pictures of the babies in Haiti who were laying on tarps, no one to hold them or love them - no toys, no shelter....... my heart was so broken. I am grateful to be able to hold my little ones when they are scared or needy. I am grateful we have a home and food to eat, clean water to drink and to clean not only ourselves but our clothes, dishes, and floors. I am grateful for the herbs and vitamins I can so readily access to treat my kids colds, sores, and immune systems and that I have access to a medical doctor if I need to see one. I am blessed that we have the freedom to go to church and worship our Heavenly Father together without fear. So much we have we take for granted. God has abundantly blessed. I need to remember that more often.
