Thinking out loud

I needed to hear this again this morning.........

Psalm 84:1-4 --- How lovely is your dwelling place O Lord Almighty. My soul yearns, even faints for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home and the swallow a nest for herself where she may have her young ----A place near your altar O Lord Almighty, My King and My God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Selah

I read a devotional with this verse a few years ago -- the sparrow who builds her nest in the pillars of the temple -- where she can raise her family in the presence of the Lord.

My mom reminded me of the hymn today:

A wonderful Savior is Jesus My Lord -A Wonderful Savior to me.
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock - a river of pleasure I see.

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, that shadows a dry, thirsty land.
He hideth my life in the depths of His love and covers me there with His hand.
He covers me there with His hand.

What a place to put my trust -- in He that hideth me in the depths of his love.
Aaaah......... I needed reminded of that today.
