Yuck!

Judah has continued to be the child that keeps me on my toes. He has come up with more things than the others, had more injuries than the others, comes up with more schemes than any of them have EVER dreamed and that is really saying something. My children are ALL extremely active, bright and inquisitive.

Yesterday night, however, Judah gave us another first.

He swallowed a marble and not just any marble - he swallowed a fishbowl marble. You know those ones that are kind of squat and semi-flat??? Yeah..... Gross!

My only consolation is that Zachy has not had fish for about a year and I did not only clean them by hand but also run them through the dishwasher before I packed them. Where he found it, I don't know. Why he put it in his mouth, again...... I am confounded. He knows better.

After he realized he had swallowed it, he had a complete meltdown and came to me in hysterics. He told me he needed LOTS of water and he needed it NOW!!! When I inquired about the problem he said - I SWALLOWED A FISH MARBLE!!!!

Lovely.

He was now terrified that it would kill him and I should take him to the doctor. Even in his bedtime prayers he asked me to "talk to Jesus about the fish marble" Tim assured him confidently that he is no danger of death or injury -- maybe he thought Mommy was putting on a brave face for him??? :) What will that child come up with next??
