There are bad days for everyone. Unfortunately they are part of walking the planet.
This week has been a difficult one for me. My friend said the other day she just felt like she was slogging through mud. Yup..... that nails it on the head.
It's been a week of slogging. Just focusing on each task, day by day, step by step, one task at a time.
I haven't felt real great this week. The weather has been icky - ranging from 70 degrees to snow the next day and then wet. I'm not sure our bees are doing well with the changes. Our house hasn't sold. It has been hard to find peace. This morning I had to pay bills (which is always yucky). On and on I could whine but I won't bore you to tears :)
The topper for me however was that I needed to get my house in order. It wasn't too bad. The main concern was my floors. We have been butchering this week which is a messy job at best. The little crumbles track and I didn't want it throughout the entire house so I decided to do a "hurriclean" (what our family calls them). Everybody has a job, we get it done, I go back to my paperwork - they go back to school, chores, what-have-you.
My lot was mopping. One of my other children (who I will leave nameless as to not embarrass them for all posterity) got sweeping/vacuuming. A small area got missed and child unnamed got the vacuum to clean it up. What do you know?? The vacuum was not sucking. The solution you ask???? Hmmmmmmmmmmm. ..... simple enough, you flip the switch from suck to blow.
I am not exaggerating when I tell you that the entire room, my boxes of dishes, my pots and pans, my spice cabinet (yes inside also), the air, AND MY FRESHLY MOPPED FLOOR was filled/coated with a thick layer of dark, nasty dirt and dust.
I excused myself and exited the house. To be completely honest, I am at the old house escaping for a few minutes to regain my perspective and try to return to my children with a better attitude. Guess I should return --- gotta face the music and as of this second the door is opening. I have been found.
Hope your day is not filled with dirt :)
