Posted some new slide shows of the last few weeks at our house - I will endeavor to keep those more current!!!
There are five new slide shows -- our honey harvest - our trip to Yellowstone -- Koliah's delivery and first days at home -- our visit with family and friends (vacation) and some family moments.
Mom and Janine are going to send me some more vacation pictures. I was disappointed we didn't have very many :(
We had some camera issues -- first of all I misplaced our memory card for the camera the first morning we were in Eureka. We bought a new one which ended up being the wrong size and by the time I got one that actually fit our camera vacation was two days from the end. And of course within hours of purchasing the new card I found the old one - isn't that the way things usually go!?!?!? All that to say I don't have many pictures of vacation :( I will add some more to that slide show when I get the discs from Mom and Janine.
In home news ---
Life is going along well -- I am trying to find my groove again.
I told one of my friends on Sunday that I was trying to get back in my groove and she aptly reminded me that that groove is gone -- time to find a new groove so that is what I am working on :)
Koliah is changing so rapidly - just in the last few days his face is filling out - his little body is gaining weight and shape. I'm losing my newborn!!! This is a fun stage also though - a lot more time awake and studying the world around him.
My cousin Lynde and my friends Lana and Sierra hosted a shower for Koliah last Sunday-- we were TOTALLY overwhelmed with everyone's love and generosity!!! It was a special day!!!
This week has been spent catching up chores, trying to get my feet under me (find my new groove) and get things ready for Elijah's birthday. I can NOT BELIEVE Elijah is turning 16 on Sunday. Is it possible that we are at that point already??? We are working to give him a memorable birthday -- its a TOTAL surprise to him --- we are using the "Raising a Modern Day Knight" book as a model for this special event. Several men are going to come and share with him different character traits..... a rite of passage similar to the idea of centuries past but focused on character rather than physical prowess. At the culmination of the evening Tim is going to present him a sword.
It is a beautiful piece - our friends (who have done this before with their boys) recommended a "Sword of Solomon" which represents the wisdom of Solomon and the sword he used to determine who was the real mother of the child in the Scriptural account when two mothers claimed a child as their own. I will post more information and some pictures next week (REALLY I will try to get it done next week - PROMISE!)
I need to run - MILES to go today and everything has to be done quietly which is SO SUPER hard!!!! Elijah is extra perceptive and hard to get anything around - he likes to be "in the know" about everything -- it has been a challenge to keep things quiet.
Have to run.............
