Nothing too exciting :)

Nothing too exciting to report today...... just trying to keep in touch better.

We are gearing up for home-school; we are hoping to start next Monday provided the last of our materials gets here before then :) Two high-schoolers this year!!!! Judah is excited to get back to it (K5 this year; we did some K4 preschool work last year). I can't say Josiah and Zachy are excited but they are prepared to get back to it. Both of them would rather continue working on projects, inventing, riding their bicycles and keeping busy. They LOVE to read but the school work part is so blah-zay.

Tim is back to work on the house; he is trying to get the mud room finished up. It will be great to have a place where all the snowsuits, coats, gloves, boots and melting snow can collect this winter (at least a different place than by the front door :) ) . We got our root cellar winter-ready and I have been canning green beans from our garden this week. They have just started so not too many yet but hopefully I will be able to put up a lot of them before the weather turns. The old-timers that use natural signals are saying this is going to be a really hard winter. They say you can read the choke-cherries for the winter ahead and the choke-cherries are REALLY heavy this year. We'll see.............

I'm gearing up to have a baby; trying to get things ordered and tidy - as much as possible anyway! This baby is SOOOO busy and seems to like his/her feet right under my diaphragm the very best. Only about five weeks until I'm due! We are still working on names. We thought we had a girl's name picked out and then changed it this week. Boy's names are really - especially hard!!! We read through four Biblical/Hebrew name books this last weekend and we are still working on it!

Tim planned something very special for this weekend -- he planned for us to get-away for a couple of days before the baby comes. How sweet is that?!?!? I haven't heard the whole plan yet but we are going to Yellowstone. I have never been there and am excited to go visit a little piece of the park anyway. It should be a fun weekend together and a break would be totally fabulous! I will have to post next week and fill you in!
