Antics and Lessons

My children always keep me on my toes -- there is never a dull moment in this house...... here are some of the latest.

Koliah is learning to brush his "chompers" -- and overall he does pretty well.  Lately if he can find a toothbrush he will grab it and walk around brushing his teeth.  He brushes some and chews on the bristles some.  I am grateful that he seems to consider brushing his teeth a privilege and not a chore like some of the other children who shall remain nameless :0)    Mind, this does not mean HIS toothbrush but rather ANY toothbrush which has caused some irritation and even disgust on the part of his siblings who have found theirs in his mouth.

Well he was brushing away, thankfully this time with HIS toothbrush, and I noted that he was neglecting the bottom set of teeth.  So I said KJ, don't forget the bottoms.  I should have been concerned when he looked at me like I had grown two heads but I repeated my instruction thinking he just was not wanting to do as I asked.  He shrugged his shoulders and proceeded to pull apart his little cheeks and try to insert the toothbrush there.  Gratefully I was standing close by and when I saw the situation progress I started yelling - NO, NO , NO!  The toothbrush missed its mark by a timely swipe as I clarified -- not bottom! Bottom chompers.  I returned the toothbrush and he shrugged his shoulders again and started back to the original task.
