Timmer fabricated some AWESOME legs (stands) for our bee hives. We have been fighting ants this year who have unfortunately discovered that bee hives have honey in them :( Tim designed and welded these stands up using ideas from other beekeepers -- the pictures show them on pallets but Tim actually settled them in the ground. I will have take some more pictures. The burned motor oil in the cups at the bottom of the legs make essentially a moat of oil that the ants cannot get across. They solved our ant infestation overnight! My husband is so fabulous!!!! He has all our hives on these great stands now -- including the hive that he just captured on Sunday!!!! The cups on the bottom that hold our ant "moat" are pieces of pipe welded to enormous washers and then the stands are welded into the cups. He did a really tremendous job!!!!
